Technasia trailer their upcoming album, ‘Popsoda’, with a couple of stone belters. The lead track is a frenzied locomotive featuring Detroit ghetto tech merchants DJ Nasty and Fletch Flex. The bass is from the rocket propulsion laboratory, the riff is hardcore and the exhortations aimed squarely at the arse. The flip’s ‘A Thing Of Beauty Is A Joy For Ever’ slips into an effortless late 80s-style house vamp, complete with up-lifting organ riff, although Derrick May’s firefly synths flicker in there too. 2001’s ‘Future Mix’ was a great album. Can’t wait for the next on this evidence.
