A three-track sampler for a forthcoming Finnish music compilation, this label has a definite ear for quality grooves. Present Sense – who’s had releases on Italy’s Archive – teams up with Tuomo on “Nature Girl”, a strong, buzzing keys and soft melodies, although it’s all about the rhythm which carries you towards the dancefloor without hesitation. Katriina’s “Spared Your Kiss” is pitched in a perfect neo-soul vibe, showcasing a well-written song to a bumping bass and rhythm. J-City finish the EP off with a gorgeous disco / jazz hybrid called “All You Give”, not unlike some lost Nuphonice groove with it’s building chords and live feel. All three cuts are exclusive to this release – don’t be caught sleeping.
