Tino Piontek aka PDM or Purple Disco Machine moves from strength to strength, not only because of his on point remixes for Defected and its offshoots, he has also polished up his own releases and has had a real crossover summer hit with ‘Dished’ in its Original form. Now a large remix pack sees the light of day, commissioned by leading dance music outlet Positiva, which is currently celebrating its 25th year in business. Jason Ellis, A&R legend has selected the revamps carefully as expected-it includes the crème de la crème of the here and now of House Music with a twist. Beside the well known Original you get a proper peaktime affair from Toolroom’s Illyus & Barrientos, a lovely Italo-Disco esque version by Disco and Edit wunderkind Babert, a hypnotic groover from Australia’s Nicky Night Time and the version of the pack by Gerd Janson and Philipp Lauer, better known as Tuff City Kids, who deliver an anthemic bass heavy version, which has got BALEARIC written all over it.
