Brazil’s Rafael Yapujian has taken the Disco world by storm thanks to a handful releases on prime outfit Tropical Disco, but of course this man has much more to offer and he’s definitely one to watch out for. His new EP for Monsieur Van Pratt’s Super Spicy label underlines that fact once again: Two jazzy Disco cuts with top programming, solid driving beats and enough SOUL to get every party goin’. My personal pick is the title track ‘Mystery Child’, a wonderful instrumental funky affair with a nice long break that’s characterized by a nice piano solo and superb brass stabs.
