Just last July Reboot dropped his delicious album ‘Alive’ on Get Physical Music featuring ‘Just Hang On’ which always had potential to be released as an individual single. The deep groove and satisfyingly dark ambience of the original caught the ear of one of the big names of the scene, Kölsch who provides the essential remixes here. I must admit I wasn’t always exactly feeling everything he did turn out lately but these two remixes just amaze me. He turns the original into a heavy late night affair, reminiscent of some of the classic techno of the past. Pure groove wrapped in a velvety pumping loop. If you like the main remix, wait till you hear the Kölsch Dub! It really is one of the biggest primetime affairs I have heard all year. Not too much happens here, but the groove is outstanding and so are reactions on the floors. To round things off nicely, the wonderful Original is of course included too. I very rarely give away 5 outta 5 but the Kölsch mixes have deserved this verdict.
