Love Songs: Part Two builds on Romare’s second ever release, a four part EP also exploring love songs. Because of the subject matter perhaps, it is a warmer, more affectionate record than his first album, and it has a good bit of humour too, found in the entertaining and cheeky asides of ‘Je T’aime’. ‘All Night’ bears out the more deep and meaningful content, ‘Come Close To Me’ wraps the listener up warm, and ‘New Love’ is warmly hypnotic house music. Romare has a greater assurance about him this time around, and it suits him – Love Songs is subtly groovy, entertaining, and pretty damn sexy too!
