Alex Peace has delivered a nerve fraying bunch of old skool meets nu skool cuts. “Faded Tools (No1)” is a three track EP, that’s got more than it’s fair share of drive. Opening with “Jack My Acid”, which doffs a cap to Fast Eddie’s tweaking 303 capabilities & gets us off to a flying start. The dark room padded cell inducing “Back In Chicago” is up next, kicking the shit out of anything in it’s path & inducing mass cardiac arrest on the dancefloor. “Michael Jackin’” brings the EP to a close, as it bounces you off walls & generally damages the grey matter. Hard as nails.
