Andro is resident DJ at Manchester’s Warehouse Project while Dimit cut his spinning teeth in the bars of his native Greece. The pair made a dent when they debuted with ‘The Land of The Lost’ EP on Tekfunk and have since ejaculated a string of subtly-crafted techno cord-wanglers, possibly climaxing with this deftly-executed, insidious set. ‘Kalimba’ is lush, mole-stiffie tweaking and sprinkled with alien jazz marimba tones. The haunted S.M.E.R.T. remix drives its heady path towards Basic Channel stratas, while the Alberto Sola Remix toughens up bass-wise with pebble-dashing goat effect. The shadowy ‘Trust’ comes in two variations before the warm marimba-fondled loveliness of ‘Mind Games’ takes it out, circling the sun god’s loin-cloth and cementing this pair as names to watch.
