DAVE ANGEL
WARRIORS EP
ROTATION

For around fifteen years, Dave Angel has forged a path which has established him as one of the most passionate but under-rated electronic dance practitioners to come out of the late 80s acid house explosion. Initially inspired by his dads love of jazz, he was one of the early true Detroit devotees and even managed to gain the respect of URs Mad Mike in the process. Daves Rotation label doesnt shout it just delivers and, once in a while, the boss pops up to show what musical planet hes currently stalking.
On Warriors hes gone to the riotous space-disco. Funky guitar peppers both Funk Samurai and Black Ninja, although Daves inbuilt Detroit sensibilites are still hovering in the flickering synth melodies. Black Ninja even grabs a bit of Moroder meteorite while proceeding to detonation point via some wrenching 303 that turns it into a full-blown acid house monster. Immaculate execution.
