Mr. Carretta is the man who’s music convinced DJ Hell to launch the International Deejay Gigolo imprint (’Innerwood’ featured on the labels first release). Marseilles born Carretta has always loved the industrial, darker end of electronic music, taking bands like D.A.F. as his starting point, and it’s fully in evidence on his latest release. Two sides of sexy, hip-grinding, sleazoid techno, with particular honours going to the siren intro’d ‘Colors’ – anyone who’s digging the New York no-wave punk-funk influence of dance music will scream with delight when they hear this vocal led gem.
