Mo Tech is the label started under the Underground Resistance umbrella by DJ 3000, who’s recently impressed with a fine mix selection, his debut artist album and appearance on the Destruction Of Order set. Known for weaving ethnic influences into his music, he teams up here with Gerald ‘Los Hermanos’ Mitchell for an exotic, bongo-fuelled romp with Eastern-tinged melody, vocal touches and spacey strings. The sexy little number is then tried on by Gary ‘Teknotika’ Martin, who’s made a string of sensual techno classics in his own right and ups the funk and bass-energy quotient. Finally, UR’s Chuck Gibson – aka Perception – brings in broken beat jazz-funk with ethereal keys and extra space. Essential for Detroitists, particularly the UR hordes.
