John Digweed’s Bedrock suffered when the Amato distribution company went tits up but now returns in fine style with label vet Guy J. He keeps it simple but deadly, harking back to classic techno with rising block chords and huge, twinkling drop. The remix comes from Denis ‘Remute’ Karimani and Pelle Buys, aka Error Error, who start with more than an element of Giorgio Moroder in the driving riff sequences, the track making its point with simple ingredients hinging around pube-strafing bass but what starts as more of a cruising groove-wash builds into floor-annihilating chaos.
