Plucked from 2006’s ‘Head Converter’ EP, ‘She Showed Me Heaven’ is exquisitely fucked-up electronic dance music, one foot in 80’s no-wave, the other in warehouse era Armando style machine trickery – ten minutes of electronic madness that’s definitely on a trip and determined to drag you along for the ride of your life. If that’s all a bit too much, Mr Slater offers a dubbed out vocal free take for the come down. Before you finish the journey, though, you should also check out Len Faki’s seriously hard grinding remix, and Radial’s more accessibly traditional floor pounder, both more than worthy alternatives if the original’s too strong for you. Either way, you need this.
