Marco is a top man around these parts for his jawdropping exploits as Octogen and being half of the Seperatists with Percy X for Soma. Ireland’s top techno label is a logical second home for the man and this digital and twelve release will only hoist his fearsome reputation even further. The vinyl features two remixes of ‘EF, NG’ and ‘Plastic Spanner’. The former kicks off with Aruba massaging the NY house organ loop with rocking turbo-todger momentum before Arne Weinberg pours lovely bottomless pads in which to stir those striking Detroit-flavoured riffs. Plastic Spanners gets a good seeing to from Timmy Stewart taking a spaced electro path up which to lead the female vocals past luminous, trouser-dropping gophers into dreamy strings. Americhord’s take is a more upbeat, minimal dub approach. Milking the computer will also yield further mixes of the two tracks by Tomas Jirku, Indo phunque, Katsuhiko, Soundwarp, T-Polar and matador. Phew what a scorcher!
