Canada’s foremost female DJ-producer continues to diversify from the hard stuff and showcases two tracks from her new UWe mix CD. ‘I Love You’ is a stonking hootenanny stoking grungy acid momentum with panel-beating riffage, goats exposing themselves and a huge, cheeky bass-snake nipping at the posterior. The vocal clip provides the simple focus. The flip’s ‘Eleven O Seven’ goes for a deeper, more minimal feel with spectral organ and extra funk. Ultimately, it’s a very unselfish record being content to just detonate a wide range of floors and also on vinyl. Hurrah!
