It seems that rarely a week goes by without Berlin’s impossibly-hot club scene throwing up a new sonic manifestation of one of its clubs in some shape or form. Now the Ostfunk promoters have started their own label, starting with a tasty item from Namito [previously heard on Great Stuff and Kling Klong]. The original is a minimal roller flecked with acid and electro which is handed to Butch, who strips down groove underpants before adding layers of electronic swells and tech-riffs. The best outing here is the Monomash mix which starts typically clipped and grunty but resonant and bell-like before chunky chords and even a guitar lick enter the fray making for something of an epic.
