PARABOLIC EP
INVASION

Tribal techno with its relentless beats and industrial frequencies can feel enormously claustrophobic (as well as pretty basic). However it certainly grabs the primal instincts of humans in a manner that is fascinating. You like it or you don’t but this is a kind of hell-ish rock’n’roll that many people on drugs (er, or not) worship all over the world. Parabolic deliver here four tracks of relentless mentalism. Brutal and yet funky, there is (as usual) not a bassline in sight, just cascades of drums, twisted samples and (if you’re lucky) out of control synths. Zzino’s ‘Fon V/A’ is a tad less animal but as oppressive and still a real scorcher (also Cari Lekebusch remix on a Detroit tip).
