The first three releases on Alexkid’s label [by Markus Enochson, Bentobox
and Julien Parise] have already established it as a mine of pure techno
gold. The fourth, by Glasgow’s Andy Graham – aka Droido on Soma, Crack &
Speed, Missive and here Sei A – is a monstrous swirl of sonic invention
which really does suck the listener into its bottomless vistas to be left
suspended swinging helplessly by their pants elastic. Vocals are distorted
into an unsettling torrent, surrounded by melodies and efx building into an
unearthly wall of sound. After an atmospheric beatless intro Kindisch and
Mood Music producer Gavin Herlihy ventures into deep techno with vocal
snippets but also with early Nu Groove flavours. Bonus track ‘March Of The
Midi’ builds glacial pulses with bulging electro cod-piece bursting open to
uncork a huge drop. Definitely a label to watch.
