Bpitch supreme Ellen first entered the world of techno in 1994 with a track called ‘Just Let the Groove Go’. Now she’s used the vocal sample on which to construct a fantastic new track, whipping up a lowslung, mesmerising hypno-vehicle which works its magic aboard a ringing bass pulse while the voice takes on its own propulsive rhythm. DJ Marcel Dettmann has been hammering the tune for years and is obviously delighted to do the remix, spacing it out further and creating a darker mood. Bpitch has become one of techno’s major sources of future-foraging techno and this nod to the boss’s past is a subtle celebration.
