After the very tasty ‘As You Like It’ that surfaced on Viva last summer, comes this equally palatable offering for Timo Garcia’s burgeoning imprint. Trnsstr, the studio production team of Smokin Jo & Pete Gleadall (pronounced “transistor”) deliver another bumping concoction of rough, sweaty house at its most minimal and satisfying. Their latest offering pairs ‘Shuffle Scuffle’ with ‘Wild Sound’ – the latter another dark affair with nagging percussive beats sitting in juxtapose to Jo’s deep vocal performance, while former is skippy tech-house stomper complete with a killer breakdown.
