This is Babicz’s fourth release on Audiomatique, soon after his album ‘A Cheerful Temper’ on Systematic. The spooky A side plods about, with skippy drums, disorienting perc sequences (steel drum?) whilst ‘Hope’ on the flip is deep and dreamy yet driving and hypnotic – majestic and fairly musical, like Underworld meets Sven Väth. Rave fanfare? says the press release, not far indeed.
