Yet another deep electronic forager from Francois Kevorkian’s ever-impressing imprint, which welcomes Kosta Athanassiadis, aka XDB, who’s appeared on Detroit’s Sistrum and runs his own Metrolux label. There is a definite Motor City influence here, as evidenced on the opening ’Gate’ with tis dreamy strings and pads draping a booting groove to intoxicating effect. ‘Lost’ is shimmering and propulsive with extra-terrestrial synth interplay, while ‘Sense’ burrows magically deep with the minimum ingredients in its sonic space-cake. ‘My Secret Garden’ is bleepily liquid and sepulchral. Great set from highly-promising talent.
