I must admit I’m a little fan of the Shag Edits series as most of their offerings have been in style, more underground than handbag, which is always preferable. As the series hits volume 7, another four cuts get thrown into the edit melting pot to great result Oli Furness is introduced to the SHAG party and he delivers two outrageous cuts. ‘U Can’ is a disco BOMB hitting you in all the right places, from the hands in the air, to the guilt free sing along moments. ‘Kick It’ rocks a hip house feel, holding real grit and groove throughout. Jamie Trench joins Oli on the A side with ‘Woody Dunked’, anyone who knows Jamie’s work will recognise the style, always grooving, hard hitting snares and heavily sampled. ‘Bress Underground’ ties up the B side with another disco gem. Again its a let your hair down, vocal groover with a carefree attitude. Well done, gents!
