Italian producer Whitesquare has been working prolifically on new material and on his own label Lyase Recordings along with NT89 and the result is rather stunning, as his fresh The ‘Reflection EP’ proves and also represents what DFTD (Defected’s sister label) is all about; deep, techno-inclined, bass thick and heavily layered, its recurring themes are neatly produced whomping basslines littered with smart percussive hooks. Tracks ‘Abduction’ and ‘Replenishment’ set the bar for another year of releases from Whitesquare that keep getting better and better. This perfectly formed EP truly reinstates his status as an artist not to miss. If you like your sound thumpin’ and pumpin’, this one is for you!
