01. “Motor Mouth”- Herbie Hancock/Lite Me Up album.
Much underrated album but great tune and playing. Lots of Rhodes wah-clav and vocoder, just what I like to hear!
02. Mizell Brothers- “NR time”/Mizell album.
Previously unreleased track from these heavyweight producers. Unbelievable drumming from Harvey Mason. Killer track.
03. Me’shell NdegeOcello- “Nocturnal Sunshine.”
Rare track featuring Herbie Hancock on Piano again. Amazing vibe.
04. Clara Hill ”For Your Love” from the Restless Times album.
Great song/ production, first heard her on the Jazzanova track “No Use.” Love her voice.
05. Common/”Real People” from the album “Be”.
Always loved his flow and the b-line on this track is sick. Sounds like Willy Weeks or James Jamerson could be playing bass.
06. Nightmares on Wax /”African Pirates”/Jd73 remix.
Really proud of this track. Bassline courtesy of my trusty Moog Source, which can shake even the toughest of speakers!
07. Michael Jackson/”Working day and Night” from Off the Wall album.
Says a lot about my lifestyle whilst making my current albums! Classic song/playing/Quincy Jones production.
08. Patrice Rushen/”Keeping the faith in love” from the Pizzaz album.
Uplifting disco classic from another of my keyboard heroes!
09. Stevie Wonder/ “Go home” from In Square Circle album.
Another overlooked song from his 80’s period, but a Stevie classic none the less. Great horns and vocoder.
10. Sly and the Family Stone/”Back on the Right track” from the Back on the Right Track album.”
Classic Sly, great vocals, slap bass, horns. Inspirational.
