System – Near Miss (DSB)
The debut single from System on Digital Soundboy due out this summer. I  first heard Alix Perez play this track at Movement. I was on the dancefloor with T Power and when it came on I didnt know who it was and both T Power & myself rushed the dj booth find out who made it! A nice balance with ‘Mentasm dark sounds’ mixed with a skankin b-line – an instant smash!

Breakage  – Together (DSB)
Keeping true to his minmal, b-line driven vibe, this tune features heavily in my set. Breakage always manages to get the right amount of detail in his tracks; keeping it minmal and interesting throughout.

TC – Wheres my Money (Caspa remix) (D style)
A big tune! This starts with a downtempo version of the ringtone sample TC used in his original. It pauses before you hear the classic sample ‘Wheres My Money’ and then kicks into an obscene machine gun sounding bassline which is big on both the dubstep & D&B circuits.

Shy Fx –  Bambaata (Break Remix) (DSB)
Most of the time when I play out I am always asked to play one of my tunes from back in the day so I got some great producers to remix my early tracks to give a fresh spin on the old classics. This was only meant for my set as I wasn’t intending to release it but the tune was massive right from the first spin! People went nuts as Break did such a great job it would be a crime not to release it! He has kept true to the original but also put his own spin on it.

Jonny L – Harry (Mr L records)
From’ Hurt U So’ which Jonny produced in 1992 right up until now, Jonny keeps coming with hits. He is definately one of my favourite producers. This is another b-line  driven track which is very new skool jungle – ithas a stabbing bassline that makes you screw up your face and flick up your hood in the corner of the dancefloor.

Marvin Gaye – Whats Goin On LP (Motown)
This is an album I always go back to for inspiration especially before I start new projects. This was lifestyle music at the time and its amazing how relevant a lot of it still is now.

Benny Page – Panpipe (DSB)
Another dubstep number with fierce breaks and an aggressive b-line – its a big tune in every sense.

Aliz Perex – Crooklyn (Soul:R)
With a haunting piano sample this is very melodic and it draws you into the track. This is one of those tunes you can have playing on a  loop to listen to again and again and not get bored with it. It feels like when he wrote it the track wrote itself as all elemenst fit seamlessly together.

Shy FX – INNOVATION IN THE SUN Is Out Now!!
