Trainspotting with Carly Foxx

Trainspotting with Carly Foxx

Big tunes from the big hitters…

Homostash’s Pavline, Carly Foxx and JVP unveil their hot 10’s ahead of this Saturday’s Berlin Berlin party at Egg Ldn where Homostash go head to head with the Pornceptual performers in The Loft, where elsewhere Berlin’s Chalet Club, Sisyphos Club and Save Us Records crews takeover aided by wild performances from Marnie Scarlet, Beatrix Carlotta, Ruby Bird, Syban and Cynth Icorn. Lena Platanos – ‘Bloody Shadows From Afar’
Daniela La Luz posted this on her Facebook page the other day and I fell deeply and utterly in love. This is underground 80’s noir at it’s absolute finest. Very seductive.

Gerry Read ‘Samurai Thunder’
I love Gerry Read’s music. I love this song! The wonky off kilter rhythms, the whacky vocal samples. It sounds so raw and messy and that’s why I like it!

Peggy Gou – ‘Troop’
New music from Rekids, the label which I buy music from before even having to listen. I really love the textures and the rhythms. It makes me feel like I’m on some kind of a mystical adventure in a steamy tropical rainforest.

Le Le – ‘Nights In Bars’
Le Le are a Dutch band who I’ve just discovered through Magnetron after listening to Fatima Yamaha’s EP which is also out on the label. This song for me is a super fun disco track layered with a quirky vocal.

Kedr Livanskiy – Razrushitelniy Krug (Destructive Cycle)
I can’t get enough of the song. I find it incredibly charming and strangely beautiful. Proper ‘tears on the dancefloor’ vibes.

Dust – ‘Tell Me’
I’m totally loving this new Brooklyn based record label 2MR. They’re releasing some really cool leftfield techno stuff, including some alien/acid music from a techno trio called DUST.

Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra – ‘Too Much Information’ (Laolu Remix)
I heard this song at the very end of Tsepo’s set at the Moodroom party in London and I was totally transported! What an amazing song. The gradual crescendo! Those beautiful magical strings! Goosebumps!

Louisahhh! – Ready
This was my favourite song from her Bromance Records EP. It’s very deep and so very tasteful.

DJ Koze – ‘XTC’
So lush. So trippy. You can really get lost in this…

God Colony – ‘Where Was I’
If you haven’t heart of God Colony yet, I’m pretty confident you will soon. An amazingly talented duo who are really doing something different.
