Trainspotting with CJ Mackintosh

Big tunes from the big hitters…

1. Azucar – Let Your Body Rock (Kyodai Club Mix) Z Records.
My favourite at the moment. Kyodai smashes it on this mix. Love the chords and the breakdown is crazy.

2. Souldynamic – NJ Attitude (Original Mix) Underground Collective.
That old school sound again that everyone is loving at the moment. You know like the way we used to do it…

3. Rhemi feat Lifford – Fathers (Dub Mix) Room Control.
Loving this at the moment too. Neil Pierce & Ziggy Funk get busy on this Dub Mix. Deep soulful house at it’s best. Love that bass sound.

4. Cevin Fisher – House Music (Supernova Remix) King Street.
Coming on King Street. Old school sounding Deep House as everyone seems to be doing at the mo but always like Supernova’s sound.

5. UBP Pres Jay Williams – Testify (Mousse T’s Test A Dub Mix) Soulfuric Records.
This has been in my Vinyl Box, CD Case, USB Stick since it came out in 1997. Still sounds great and always works for me.

6. Shea – Where Did You Go (Atjazz Floor Dub) TwoPointNine Ltd.
Atjazz again with his own unique sound. Love the vibe on this dub mix.  Deep, soulful, dark. That bell tree sound every 4 bars too…funny 🙂

7. The Sunburst Band – Definition Of Love (Sean McCabe Mix) Z Records.
Another Z Records release. Can’t really fault what Mr. Negro does. Love the original of this anyway but Sean comes through on this and gives it more of a club feel. Check out Sean’s dub too. Phat!

8. The Lewis Project – The More I Get, The More I Want (Original Mix) Galleria.
Been a few covers of this Teddy P classic just recently. Just found this in my inbox and really into this version. Nice production and vocals.

9. Lem Springsteen & Danism – Extension (Original Mix) Nocturnal Groove.
Always loved Lem’s stuff from Mood II Swing days. Together here with Danism they create a nice and funky chilled vibe. I know that bassline, just can’t remember where it’s from.

10. Janet Jackson – That’s The Way Love Goes (Cosmack Piano Dub) Virgin Recs.
Gotta stick one of mine in from back in the day. This mix was never really fully released. Did appear on a vinyl only compilation but was cut too low. Never understood why they never fully released it on a 12″ in the first place. Was the best dub mix on the package. Still get asked for this mix now.
