WMC debut for the mighty Russian duo

As thousands of next generation clubbers descend on the big events, do you feel the spirit of house music is being lost to a crowd looking for that instant anthem hit?
We don’t think that the house music spirit is being lost to the crowd cause at WMC there will be the same audience that sincerely loves house music.”
Have you had to change your musical direction in the last year?
“Basically we are working in the same style and direction always adding something new to our sound. For instance some elements and sounds of electro house.”
Is Miami losing it’s trademark cool and sexy house music vibe?
“We don’t think it’s losing anything. Miami is a great place with many clubs and dancefloors. Many people come here to dance, party and listen to their favorite DJs. We played there once at Amnesia Club and enjoyed it a lot.”
What are your thoughts on the Dennis Ferrer ‘Mansion’ Miami club story – he was basically kicked off the decks for not playing commercial enough…
“Each DJ and producer has the right to choose what he wants to play and produce. We respect all DJs and producer that make something special even if it’s not enough commercial. In our opinion Dennis wasn’t lucky enough to get the audience that appreciates his kind of music.”
With clubs and charts being dominated by dance music worldwide, shouldn’t we be rejoicing it’s success rather than being bitter with crossover?
“We are quite content with the situation in the clubs and charts. We think there are enough of other charts and clubs for other kinds of music.”
The party you looking forward to the most?
“Axtone’s party with Thomas Gold. We are playing at it that’s why we are looking forward to it the most!”
What are your Buzz tracks for WMC 2012?
“We gonna play a lot of our old and new tracks. You’ll check them out in a few weeks. Let it be a surprise for everybody.”
What are your thoughts on the IMS in Ibiza? Will you be attending?
“We think IMS is a great event. It gives many people a chance to communicate and discuss many things in person. Also it gives a lot of people a chance to take part in seminars and work out useful things for music business together. We have a very tight gig schedule but we’ll try to get there this year and if possible we’d be happy even to perform there.”
