Trainspotting with Hemi Music’s Neil Pierce and Ziggy Funk

1) Rhemi Ft Cassius ‘Beat Within’ Opolopo Remix (Rhemi Music)

The man from Sweden does the business again with such a slamming groove remix of a record we released back in 2014′

2) Kiko Navarro – ‘Twilight’ Album Edit (BBE Records)

A seminal classic that was way ahead of its time freshened up with even more twisted sounds.

3) Mr. G – ‘One For The Headz’ (Phoenix G)

The has a great broken beat vibe and shows that you don’t have to have millions of instruments to make something work.

4) Ron Basejam ‘The Carrington Spirituals’ (Defected)

This record just seems to groove and groove and you can just get lost in it completely

5) Round Shaped Triangles – ‘Set Me Free’ Scott Diaz Remix (Sub_Urban)

Great cut and paste with old Skool sampling vibe here. Scott Diaz has always got that locked down

6) Loleatta Holloway – ‘Cant Let You Go’ Louie Vega Roots Mix (Vega Records)

Loleatta proves once again why she is one of the best to have done it and with fine style Louie delivers on the remix.

7) 6th Borough Project – ‘The Weight’ Album Mix (Roar Groove)

The build on this record is immense and how it catches you when it gets to its peak is brilliant.

8) Art Of Tones – ‘Rainbow Song’ (Local Talk)

Art Of Tones is one of our favourite producers and has managed to cultivate a great sound that is uniquely him and works every time.

9) Crookers Feat Baxter – ‘Innocent’ (Defected)

Love the twisted vocal nature and swinging live feel of hats that keep it grooving. The song structure is unusual but the whole thing is interesting for it being that way.

10) Emilie Nana – ‘Music’ Manoo Remix (Compost Records)

Emilie vocal seems to effortlessly glide over the record with the deep underbelly of tones that Manoo has put under. It took a while to get onto the song but once you’re hooked, you’re hooked!
