Mozambo have spent close to a decade shaping a sound that pulls from house, afro-rooted rhythms and disco warmth, landing recently in a place that feels confident and fully formed. Their sets lean toward colour, movement and musical memory, built for long nights rather than quick impact. With the launch of their Jungle Disco Records imprint in 2025, Mozambo began a new chapter focused on independence and direction. Recent releases including collaborations with Antdot, Alok, Maz and Gilberto Gil have widened their reach, while support from artists across the global circuit has cemented their growing presence. With new music incoming, DMCWorld goes go Back To Mine with Mozambo.
Butch – Dope
We’ve been playing this track for years. There’s something very special about it, a mood and a feeling that instantly sets the vibe every single time we drop it. It has that timeless quality that always works on the dancefloor, no matter the context. We’ve always loved Butch as a producer. His sound is powerful, groovy and deeply emotional, and Dope is one of those records we keep coming back to again and again.
Konvex, Meloko, Garla – If You Ever
This is one of the more recent releases that really left a strong impression on us. There’s something fresh and new in the sound, while at the same time it reminds us of classic house and techno records from a few years back. It feels both modern and timeless.
These are artists we’re friends with and deeply respect, and that connection makes the track even more special for us. We’ve played it in many different places, Ibiza, Brazil and beyond, and every time the reaction on the dancefloor has been incredible. It’s one of those tracks that instantly connects with people.
Mel Bundo – Homerun
This is a track we really love. It captures everything we enjoy about house music, the energy it brings to the dancefloor and the feeling it creates as soon as you hear it.
There’s a disco horn sample in the track that comes from a record we absolutely love, which made it a natural fit in our DJ sets. It’s beautifully produced, full of energy, and we’re very happy to share it.
Baron – DSCO
This track came out very recently and we instantly loved it as soon as we received the promo. It has a great energy and a very strong groove. It’s really well produced and works perfectly in a club context.
It’s one of those tracks that feels immediate and effective on the dancefloor. We’ve been enjoying playing it a lot and we genuinely wish it all the success it deserves.
Mita Gami – Untouchable
This is a track we started playing quite recently and quickly fell in love with. It carries a lot of emotion and has a very strong musical identity. There’s something deep and touching in the way it’s built.
We have a huge amount of respect for Mita Gami as a producer, and this track reflects that perfectly. It’s beautifully crafted and expressive, and it’s one we’re playing more and more in our sets.
Octave One – Blackwater (feat. Ann Saunderson)
For us, this track represents so many things. It’s truly one of our all-time favorite house records, and we honestly believe we’ll be listening to and playing it for the rest of our lives. It’s one of the foundations of house music. A timeless anthem, especially in Ibiza, and a track we never get tired of. For us, it’s simply a legendary record.
Midland – Final Credits
This is a track we’ve been playing for many years and it’s truly one of our favourite house records. We love the sound, the emotion it carries, and the atmosphere it creates.
It’s a track we enjoy just as much on the dancefloor as we do outside of it, whether in the car or in everyday life. The production is brilliant and it represents a lot of what we love about house music.
Dino Lenny & Doorly – The Magic Room (Dino Lenny & Seth Troxler Re-Edit)
This is a track we rediscovered while digging through our hard drives, and it instantly felt relevant again. It fits perfectly within today’s indie dance scene. It’s very well produced, full of character, and has a strong identity. One of those records that feels timeless and fresh at the same time.
Gilberto Gil, Alok, Maz & Mozambo – Maracatu Atômico (Remix)
This is our latest release. It’s a samba-house track deeply rooted in Brazilian culture, which is something very close to our hearts. We love playing it in clubs as a way of bringing that cultural heritage onto the dancefloor.
The track is very percussive and full of energy, while still carrying the spirit of the original song. It’s a record that means a lot to us and one we truly love sharing.
DJ Koze – Pick Up
This is another track we absolutely love. It’s based on a sample from a Melba Moore disco record, which we already adored in its original form. This version feels incredibly beautiful and timeless.
It’s one of those tracks we know we’ll keep playing forever. There’s something truly magical in its energy and mood, and the balance between the disco elements and the production is just perfect.
