Already a new favourite over at BBC1Xtra, Hull’s Ryder – the 20 year old rising star, gained online notoriety through his ‘Skeptacore’ project, releasing jazz, funk, house, bass edits of popular Skepta tracks, amassing a huge following on TikTok, Spotify and Soundcloud. He caught the attention of Skepta himself, who invited him to create an EP together, ‘48 Hours’. I remember when I found out about this tune, I had it on repeat for a good 6 months. It sounds like what I think it’d be like to grow up in New York.
