Trainspotting With Ethan Gray

Ethan Gray is a young DJ and producer (and son of Michael Gray!) from London who has established a distinctive sound built around disco house grooves, soulful vocals and uplifting energy. With releases such as ‘Elevate Your Mind’ and ‘I Get Lost’ with Brutha Basil on Soulfuric Records, along with ‘Don’t Look Back’ on Big Love, and a Traxsource Top 10 already, his music has already gained support from some of the biggest names in house music. As a DJ, Ethan has played at UK venues including Night Tales Loft, London to World Headquarters, Newcastle, steadily building a reputation for energetic, crowd-focused sets. He has also shared the stage with David Morales, Michael Gray, Mark Knight, Seamus Haji and Moodena. As his fab new single, ‘Give Me Time’ featuring Andre Espeut lands on Sultra Records, DMCWorld goes Trainspotting with Ethan Gray.

Ethan Gray, Brutha Basil – I Get Lost – Soulfuric Records
This track is always a winner on the dancefloor and never seems to lose its impact. It keeps things deep while proving that sometimes the simplest riff is all you need to absolutely set a room off.

I Get Lost (Extended Mix)

Discoplex, Massimo Lippoli – The Funk – Pleased As Punch
Another one that always finds its way into my house sets because it just works every time. That quirky organ chord is so simple but instantly grabs the room and never seems to miss.

Cody Currie (Deeper Mix) – Better – Freerange
I instantly loved this track the first time I heard it. The deep vocal chop running through it alongside the bass gives it such a cool, weighty sound that really stands out.

Michael Gray feat. Bran Mazz – Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder) – Sultra Records
This is one of those tracks that gets the balance between emotion and groove absolutely spot on from start to finish. It’s got a real feel-good energy that never gets old and always leaves people smiling.

Michael Gray feat. Bran Mazz - Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder) (Extended Mix)

Ethan Gray feat. Andre Espeut – Give Me Time – Sultra Records
I really enjoyed making this one because I wanted to add more emotion without losing the energy. It still has plenty of groove, with hooky riffs and a range of keyboards that keep it moving while giving it more feeling.

Give Me Time (Original Mix)

Seamus Haji feat. Hazel Fernandes – Dance With You – Big Love Records
This is the perfect example of pulling out every element in the right way. The build from start to finish just locks in perfectly, and it’s always a winner whenever I play it out.

Ruze, Chesster – Another Night – Soulfuric Trax
The vocal, keys, and drums are all spot on in this one — everything just sits perfectly together. It never fails to get the crowd moving and is a perfect example of proper, quality house music.

Michael Gray – I’m Falling For You – Sultra Records
What I love about this track is how simple it is in the best way. The chords, the simple vocal, and that iconic drum sound all come together so effortlessly.

I'm Falling For You

Harry Romero, Brothers Macklovitch, Austin Ato – The Corner (Extended Piano Mix) – Rekids Records
Love the piano in this one — it’s got that funky edge but still feels really cool and stripped back. A proper house club track with a really smooth vibe throughout.

The Corner (Extended Piano Mix)

Groove Armada, Myd – Love’s Theme (Myd Extended Remix) – Glitterbox
I love this remix — it’s got so much energy from the start. It’s really hooky and just works across all crowds, no matter the setting.
