Sometimes you hear a track and you bet you know it from somewhere but can’t figure out where from. When I got this new Glitterbox record, I was thinking exactly this. I did some research and found out it is a classic Yellow Productions offering and I actually have the vinyl from 2003. Back then the artist was stated as Carolyn Harding only, but the track of course was produced by Freeform Five aka Anu Pillai who revisits his project for 2020. This new package features Anu’s new Freeform Reform, a cut that mesmerizes with ethereal strings and lush instrumentation as well as remixes by two of the Glitterbox internal camp. Up first, The Shapeshifters brings his signature funk-laden grooves, before Razor N Tape founder JKriv delivers his signature NYC sounds in his remix, perfectly complimenting Carolyn Harding’s spellbinding vocal. The Shapeshifters Mix will probably appeal more to the peaky Disco floors, whereas JKrivs Mix is certainly the one for the purists. Great the versions all use those memorable strings-certainly the essential part of this track alongside Carolyn’s classic vocal! Nice one!
