In 1999 US label Soulfuric was releasing its 12th ever release, the main mixes of the now reviewed title, produced by ATFC and Warren Clarke, vocalised by the in demand Lisa Millett. The pair came up with a clever Soulful House cover of the timeless Patti Labelle classic, and ensured Soulfuric a worldwide club hit. End of the story? No. Fast forward 27 years later, Soulfuric bosses Brian Tappert and Marc Pomeroy commissioned new remixes of the song, delivered by Italy`s Souldynamic aka Luca Ciotoli and Stefano De Magistris. After their recent releases on Samosa or Excedo this is a very welcome return to the label they love and you can feel the immense respect they seem to have for both Labelle’s Original and the Lab Rats version. Strong percussive beats match perfectly with a great bassline, deep chords, fantastic piano work and Lisa’s vox on their Vocal Mix. Things get a little deeper and housier on the Dub, still this is a very respectful and soulful update of a great track.
