A forgotten fave from the archives finally gets its big moment as Yousef unveils ‘Had No Sleep’, freshly remastered for 2026. The track apparently first came to life 14 years ago in a Liverpool surround sound studio, but somehow never found its way onto a proper single. After recently road-testing it with trusted friends Bontan and Mele, Yousef’s giving it its own release, and rightfully so, its ace! Tom Crew supplies the vocal, bringing a playful, oddball energy that nods to early Talking Heads while recounting stories of sleepless nights and poor decisions. Beneath it, Yousef delivers a rugged house rhythm packed with driving percussion, deep momentum and wistful synth lines, creating a punchy late-night groove that’s tailor-made for dark room action.
