Trainspotting with Eskimo Twins

1. Lilliam Wee – Turmoil In The Chaos System

This little gem had been a staple for a couple of months, haven’t been able to stop playing it. Weird body music that rolls incredibly hard. Love it to pieces.

2. Casco, & B.W.H. – Stop

This is an old favourite that has been coming out a lot recently. We first heard it a few years ago as an edit (Likelife I think) and immediately began searching for the original. An absolute fist pumper disco classic.

B.W.H. - Stop (1983)

3. Rigopolar – Chaos

There’s no stopping Rigopolar at the moment the boy’s on fire! We always play a lot of his stuff and this new new in, just fantastic. Guitars and synths in perfect harmony.

4. Moscoman – Fernandez (Red Axes Remix)

Loved the original of this one when it came out at the beginning of 2015. Red Axes have absolutely nailed the remix too, the second half is some of the best use of trumpets in club music we’ve heard. Huge but restrained.

5. Eskimo Twins – Je M’Ennuie (Pete Callard Remix)

We were blown away when we got this remix back from Pete. We’ve been a fan of his productions for some time, so he was top of our list for remixers on this EP. Have played this at every gig since we got it back a couple of months ago, it destroys every time. Big sexy techno.

6. Mikron – Black Sands

We absolutely love their album start to finish, though this is the standout track for us. Have been playing it furiously for a couple of months too. Dark bleepiness that is reminiscent of late 80’s / early 90’s Warp. Always one for the later hours.

04 Mikron - Black Sands [Central Processing Unit]

7. P.E.A.R.L – In Her Love Chant

This one isn’t messing about, proper heads down, balls to the wall techno. Lovely synths and a great arrangement. Very much looking forward to seeing P.E.A.R.L in Berghain this weekend.

8. Dimitri Veimar – Time

A welcome return from our Russian acid friend on Omni Disc. This is an odd little techno number that will stick in your head for days, is amazing. Big things ahead for Dimitri!

9. Escape from New York – Fire in My Heart (Instrumental dub)

Wonderfully overblown disco chugger, perfect early doors business.

10. Midland – Blush

Really simple track but with some clever little flourishes. Really like how it’s a straight up functional pumper but it has that emo nod too. Proper.

EskimoTwins02Eskimo Twins return with an EP Je M’Ennuie featuring Justine and remixes from Mikron and Pete Callard out soon on Clouded Vision Recordings.
