Nottingham’s DJ Hal provides us with a thudding example of dancefloor techiness, built around a nagging horn riff and a colossal bar of pure bass that pushes through the system, as various effects, vocal snatches and atmospheric noises wind there way in and out of the mix. Very much in the Tony Thomas vein, and certainly not lacking clout – a winner for sure. Flip over for a more rolling, boompty sound with a nice vocal that will light up the deeper floors, and last, but not least ,“Mistral Nights”; a soundscape of a percussive gem – pure bass and drums house music. Wicked.
