Rampling is a bonafide music visionary and a revolutionary dance music pioneer. Through his legendary ground breaking Acid House club Shoom and subsequent long-standing associations with Kiss FM and Radio 1, Rampling’s catalyst influence has helped to shape dance music for over 20 years.
As a DJ for Kiss FM Rampling extended his influence over dance music and the changing attitudes of young London.
His reputation grew rapidly as he toured worldwide and became a household name through his six year tenure at Radio 1 hosting The Love Groove Dance Party and generating sales in excess of one million compilation CDs. As a result Rampling became a brand unto himself, building an international army of fans and a vast array of top flight business contacts around the globe.
In addition to his tour schedule Rampling is regularly called upon to DJ at high profile private parties and fashion show happenings. These have included spinning for George Michael, The Pet Shop Boys, Mick Hucknell, Gloria Estefan, Depeche Mode, Patrick Cox and Boy George, headlining the second birthday of the W hotel in Doha, and programming the catwalk music for top Italian fashion designer Antonio Berardi.
In 2009 Rampling launched his own clubnight brand Atmosphere with a series of select parties at exclusive club Paramount at the summit of Centrepoint (London) and for 2011 Danny has taken the brand worldwide.
2010 saw Rampling take up residency at Aura (Ibiza), playing weekly on the decadent ‘White Isle’ whilst also holding down a busy international schedule, and sitting as a panellist at the 2010 WMC in Miami alongside the Director of Music for Oxfam US.
In 2011 Danny became a trustee of the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation, a charity which unites the global dance music community to raise vital awareness and funds for humanitarian and environmental causes.
Moving forward Rampling has a tour of America forthcoming and is working in the studio on collaborations with Mark Wilkinson, Guiessepe Moreno and Mat Playford. Rampling’s well established radio presence also continues with regular shows on some of the biggest dance music stations including NYC based Kult.fm and RedSeaDanceRadio.Com broadcasting from Egypt.
Rampling is firmly back in the musical limelight, where he belongs, sharing his passion for music with a wealth of experience as we journey forward through the unprecedented evolution of contemporary culture.
