Phoenix’s favourite filter-disco house-head, DJ DLG, opens his new Lazor Arena guise with this massive reworking of Rozalla’s ‘Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good)’. The ’90s singer also has the distinct honour of being the first ever Zimbabwean artist to register on the UK singles and album chart, Rozalla Miller spent the first half of the decade setting dancefloors alight with a string of hits that included ‘Faith (In The Power Of Love)’, ‘Are You Ready To Fly’ and ‘I Love Music’, but none could match the longevity or selling power of this top 10 outing from ’92. For his update DLG adds a strong house foundation for the anthemic vocal to sit atop, filter in and out and basically rock like it never did back-in-the-day. A true hands-in-the-air summer smash and fantastic reason for a savvy label to reissue this quicker then you can say “feeeeeel good”.
