AIR headline prestigious show at London’s Round House

Internationally revered French electronic pop duo AIR (Jean-Benoit Dunckel and Nicolas Godin) confirm details of their European Tour. It will culminate with a prestigious headline show at London’s Roundhouse on February 24th 2010. The performance will be their first on these shores following the recent release of their fifth studio album ‘Love 2’ that is being heralded as the duo’s best since the landmark album ‘Moon Safari.’

Tickets for the show – their first in London since 2007 – go on sale from the usual agents at 9am on October 9th at a price of £24.

Nestled in the leafy backstreets of northern Paris, AIR’s own studio Atlas provided a creative haven for the band to produce the twelve new songs that feature on ‘Love 2’.  Writing and producing entirely by themselves, they have cemented their association with LA-based drummer/percussionist Joey Waronker (Beck, Smashing Pumpkins, R.E.M.), who had previously joined them for their intimate, three-man “Close Up” tour of south-east Asia in the autumn of 2008. Stéphane “Alf” Briat, a long-time fixture of the Paris music scene, whose work with AIR dates back to some of their earliest  material,  also  came on board for the mixing process at Atlas.
