With hip-hop’s A-list in the grip of complacency, don’t expect the comeback of the ‘supergroup’ that never went away to be doing cartwheels, as if coming together after all these years is an instant passage to the plaudits. Briefly – Snoop stays in caricature, Nate Dogg does Nate Dogg, Warren G is still searching for ‘Regulate’ riches, and titles like ‘Keep it Gangsta’ and ‘Mary Jane’ are no LBC rocket science that does produce a few dimepieces. Not the tour de force that it sounds on paper, yet about par for the course.
