The Leeds based Dj Producer continues with Huxley and Jimmy Poster’s succession of great releases for their Saints & Sonnets imprint. Three new tracks go to make up the EP each pushing at the crossover of sounds between America and Europe. Beginning with the suitably titled ‘Deeper Knowledge’ which sees a hypnotic repetition of minimalist tones sequenced against a punishing bassline to result in instant mayhem. ‘Wait For You’ plunges deeper with funky breakbeats and unsettling synths creating a rich atmosphere, with final track ‘Marching’ the warmer of the three with piano chords and mood enhancing pads sounding ambient and compelling. So to turn it all upside down is Mr.Gs excellent Strutting Remix which typically goes for the jugular with abrasive soundscapes played out over relentless drums.
