Big tunes from the big hitters…
1. Timmy P – Chattin’ Breeze EP (What You Sayin – Original Mix) – Local Talk Records
This song makes me dance with energy. The solid groove makes me remember the great House vibes of the ‘90s. Great sounds, perfect for underground situation.
2. Solomun – Kackvogel – Ministry Of Sound
Sloppy baseline and straight groove. This song hit directly the heart of the dance floor. With obvious roots funk… always in my bag.
3. Nick Curly – Piano In The Dark – Defected
This song has something strange… psychedelic in the beginning, a good atmosphere. The vocals are slamming Worthy Davis voice is incredible. The song seems never to start, but the bassline will make you move.
4. Dan Hartman & Loleatta Holloway – Relight My Fire (12” Extended Remix) – Blue Sky Records
I think that I can’t find any word to describe what and why I like this world anthem… inimitable.
5. Sound Of Blackness – The Pressure (Frankie Knuckles Classic Mix With Intro) – Perspective Records
When I heard this song for the first time I was surprised about the epic intro. After few seconds I forgot that it was an House Music song, but when the groove starts, the bassline presses and the choirs accompany the voice, I was stunned by the beauty of this piece.
6. Frankie Feliciano – What A Surprise (Frankie Feliciano Remix) – Cooly’s Hot Box
I always appreciate Feliciano’s style. The right groove, refined sounds, hot pad, always with beautiful and sweet voice. I Like particularly this song… the vocals has something special.
7. Jonathan Meyer feat. Billie Jean – Breathe (Main Mix) – Super Soul Music
This is the forthcoming release on my new label, Super Soul Music. A deep travel guided by Billie Jean’s voice. I love so much her voice and the lyrics of this song. It was funny to work with her during the videoclip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_D0I9Gfgr3I).
8. Kenny Bobien – Let Me Show You (Main Mix) – Soundmen On Wax
This is one of my favourite song that I like to play in the right situation. Kenny’s voice no need words to be described. But the fusion by choirs, groove and bass make this song perfect for my taste. Will always find a place in my bag.
9. Patti Labelle – The Spirit’s In It – Philadelphia International Records
3 words to describe this song: energy, colour and happiness. It’s simply Music…
10. Jonathan Meyer – Warm Me Up (Original Mix) – Super Soul Music
This song represents an important step in my career… it started the path with Super Soul Music. This was the first step… and many more will have to be done.
Jonathan Meyer ‘Breathe’ will be released on Traxsource Promo on March 25th / Full release April 15th 2013 on Super Soul Music.
