Audiofly aka Anthony Middleton and Luca Saporito sculpt here some serious futuristic funk – think a well achieved combination of Deep Dish and Tiefschwarz. With a fat and squelchy bline, ‘Release Yourself’ spits out crisp rolling sequences and perfect percussion but it’s guest vocalist Shaun Parkes who really makes the difference with his robotic impressions of Cameo’s Larry Blackmon (125 BPM). The minimal dub goes deeper but the sexy and druggy original works best.
