If you like your music to arouse curiosity rather than rework cliques then you have come to the right place. ‘Precious’ unwraps layers of sound amidst occasional touches of melody via its mysterious vocal delivery. Which, apart from the pulsating bassline has the arrangement lifting and dropping the atmosphere with tense chords plus occasional splashes of dark synthesiser adding colour. Larry Cadge’s proceeding excellent, pounding remix is almost brutal in comparison, albeit in a sophisticated way, igniting the senses with tough, tribal rhythms and swirling sound effects over the course of several intoxicating minutes.
