I do find Moda releases and Groove Armada sets rather good fun and this EP does not disappoint. Strongest track on the EP is the dark, crackling ‘Pork Soda’ that drags its round, wobbly underbelly across the floor to clear more dancing space. ‘Hyde and Freak’ is a rotund, bass bounder that jacks and freaks you out with its Roxy Music sounding, sax heavy breakdown. And finally, Jack in Black is a jolly jump up track that makes you feel like you’ve been dealt a respectable hand with your first cards and don’t know how to hide your happy face. Groove on.
