Aberdeen’s Iain McPherson and James Sissons – previously heard on 20:20, Playhouse and their own Flygaric Tracks – debut on Classic and fit the label’s warped funky house style like a glove. With hazy guest vocals from Jonee Q, they cook up a hallucinogenic groove-stew with the requisite funk bubbling like a funky snake on mushrooms. The dub pulls down the vocals and pumps up the beats, before none other than Style Of Eye – Classic’s weirdly brilliant new Swedish talent – comes in with a red-hot poker which he thrusts boldly up the tradesman’s entrance with motorised intent. There’s also an accapella. We need this fantastically deranged asylum for unfettered house nutters.
