Rock One is none other than X Press 2’s Rocky, another DJ bitten by the electro-house bug. For his return on Low Pressings he’s gone back to basics; ‘Body Shake’ has got a bit of a Moroder b-line and a truck load of fab, funky fx that continuously slash the sonic picture (pitch bends, space lasers, spiralling jets, sirens, the lot). In its own way this is as captivating and funky as Tiefschwarz’ cleverly tailored productions (125 BPM). ‘It’s No Use’ isn’t as peak time but sure is as stylish, (123). The Div’s Drake & Henry drop another 12” of unreleased tracks. Locked in tribal groove, ‘Peacez Of Gold’ is dark and very repetitive but not unpleasant, it just sucks you into K hole (127). ‘Spun Out’ is as druggy but a touch lighter (124)
