Now signed to Protocol, it’s clear that it’s time for youngster Martin Volt to step up to bat with the big boys. ‘Rush’ is about as big as it gets with skittering, whip cracking effects, demolition beats and a synth melody that hooks you like a tuna through the mouth. If you can imagine riding the waves in Australia, before doing the slopes in Gstaad then rock diving in Brazil before going home for your tea and doing it all over again, then you have the measure of it. It’s the perfect accompaniment to any white knuckle ride you can think of.
